About Central Michigan
Central Michigan around Mount Pleasant is farm and small-town country with Central Michigan University.
Around Mount Pleasant, Central Michigan University's Chippewas share Isabella County with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, whose Soaring Eagle resort is one of the area's largest employers. Beyond town, flat farm fields, small lakes and state forests to the north make this a crossroads between Michigan's college life and its up-north recreation.
